FAQs

Q: What are your hours? 

A: We are open 7 days a week. Monday through Saturday for lunch (11:30am until 2:30pm) and dinner (5pm until 9 or 10pm) and Sundays from 8am until 2pm.

Q: Are you open all year?
A: Yes! We are generally open the entire year with a few closings for major holidays. There are times, our Crew takes small breaks during the off season (yes, we have to recharge as well). We post closings on our Homepage, Facebook and on our message recorder. 

Q: Can we order take-out?
A: Of course! Look over the menu (remember, it changes weekly) and call us with your order for pickup. We do not deliver. 

Q: Do you have a kids menu? 
A: Yes. We are a family friendly establishment. We have lots of goodies for the kiddos from grilled cheese with our house-made tomato soup, PB & J andchips or pancakes and bacon for brunch.

Q: Do you serve alcohol?
A: Due to Colington (un-incorporated Dare County) law, we only serve beer and wine. We do have a list of specialty wine "cocktails" in season. Sunday's we also serve special mimosas and a wonderful sake bloody mary.

Q: Is your porch open for outdoor dining at all times?
A: No. We open our porch Mother's Day Weekend until the end of September. During this time, our porch is only open when weather permits. We no longer accept reservations on our porch due to rapid weather changes.

Q: Do you require a reservation to dine in? 
A: No. However, we are a very small restaurant (seats 30 inside and 22 on our porch). We recommend parties of 6 or more to make a reservation and of course, during season (May-September). We fill up quick! Our "Sandbar" is always available for walk-ins.

Q: Do you cater? 
A: Yes. We cater small parties for pick-up and drop off. Our Chefs have worked on-site for certain occasions. Call to inquire about your event.

Q: Can we host a large party at the restaurant? 
A: Yes. Of course, it depends on when and how many. Call to inquire about your event.

Q: When are wine dinners?
A: We have several wine dinners throughout October through April. See "Our Events" page about dates and availability. These events sell out quickly!

Q: Can I purchase a gift certificate?
A: Yes, stop in or call us and we will gladly help you!

Q: What does " Ocean Friendly Establishment" mean?
A: In 2018 we signed a "contract" with the Plastic Ocean Project pledging ourselves as an "Ocean Friendly Establishment". This means we do not carry one-time use plastic use items (straws, take-out bags, etc). We only serve straws (paper product) upon request and use compostables for takeout. We also pride ourselves in using green cleaning products.
